Make a difference in Congo
SNI needs all the help we can get to make this educational facility in Congo a reality for the orphans of Bana Mayele ("smart kids" in Lingala) Located in the district of Kimbondo on Mont-Ngafula in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, It is home to more than 800 orphans. More than 250 of the over 800 orphans suffer from a host of ailments, including malnutrition, severe physical disabilities, HIV-AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis. Early learning, tutoring, trauma therapy, vocational courses and a positively empowering environment is the key to future change.
